On July 12, the launching ceremony of the 2024 4th "Botok Cup" International Vocational College Innovation and Entrepreneurship Invitational Competition was held online. Dr. Langsan Timontori, Director of the Strategy and Relations Division of the Vocational Education Commission of the Ministry of Education, Thailand, Xu Lan, Education Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in the Kingdom of Thailand, Lu Chunyang, Executive Deputy Director of the National E-commerce Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee and Chairman of the "Belt and Road" E-commerce Valley Project Development Council, Bi Dipeng, Vice President of Chiang Mai University, · Yao Mengkun, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at Chiang Mai University, Lian Chen, Chinese President of the Chinese Co-organizer Cheng Bo, Vice President of Guangxi College of Economics and Business, Duan Jian, chairman of Beijing Bodao Future Information Technology Co., Ltd., attended the event. Witnessed by nearly 50 co-organizers and supporters of the event in China and Thailand, the 2024 4th "Botok Cup" International Vocational College Innovation and Entrepreneurship Invitational Competition was officially launched.







The 4th "Botok Cup" International Vocational College Innovation and Entrepreneurship International Invitational Competition 2024 is co-sponsored by the Vocational Education Committee of the Ministry of Education of Thailand, the National E-commerce Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee, the "Belt and Road" E-commerce Valley Project Development Council, the Confucius Institute at Chiang Mai University and Bodao Co., Ltd., and has received support from nearly 90 Chinese and Thai organizations, institutions and enterprises.






Dr. Langsan Timontori said in his speech that the "Botok Cup" is an international project jointly promoted by the Vocational Education Commission of the Ministry of Education of Thailand and leading educational, commercial and industrial institutions in China and Thailand, and the competition has covered more than 10,000 people in ASEAN countries in the past three years. The Thailand Vocational Education Commission will continue to strongly support the competition, and calls on the institutions affiliated to the Vocational Education Commission to continue to respond positively and make the competition a model benchmark for China-Thailand vocational education cooperation.






Counselor Xu Lan said that he hoped to take the event as an opportunity to promote the establishment of a long-term mechanism for exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Thai vocational colleges, and continuously improve the level of innovation and development of the integration of industry and education.







Lu Chunyang, executive deputy director, said that the "Belt and Road" e-commerce valley project has achieved fruitful results in skills development, standard cooperation, resource sharing, teacher training, and student exchanges. As an important activity of digital skills cooperation between China and Thailand in the E-commerce Valley Project, the "Botok Cup" has injected new vitality into the educational cooperation between China and Thailand and even ASEAN countries, hoping to stimulate more young people's innovation awareness and entrepreneurial spirit through the holding of the event, further strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between China and Thailand and ASEAN countries in the field of vocational education, and promote the deep integration of education and industry.








Dean Lian Chen of the Confucius Institute at Chiang Mai University, Cheng Bo, Vice President of Guangxi Vocational College of Economics and Business, and Duan Jian, Chairman of Bodao Co., Ltd., expressed their hopes for the 4th "Botok Cup" International Vocational College Innovation and Entrepreneurship Invitational Competition, and sincerely invited teachers and students from ASEAN countries to actively participate in the competition and learn from each other.






Since its inception in 2021, the "Botok Cup" International Vocational College Innovation and Entrepreneurship Invitational Tournament has attracted the active participation of more than 6,000 teachers and students from more than 500 colleges and universities in ASEAN, relying on more than 20 e-commerce innovation and entrepreneurship projects incubated by the competition, and more than 20 e-commerce enterprises in ASEAN countries have obtained e-commerce talent reserve support through the competition, which has effectively promoted the integration of talent chain and industrial chain in ASEAN countries.


The 2024 4th "Botok Cup" International Vocational College Innovation and Entrepreneurship Invitational Tournament further innovates the competition system, designs two major competitions of the Digital Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Actual Competition and the International Classroom Teaching Design Competition for students and teachers, and will continue to organize pre-competition training and process counseling in different forms and contents, so as to truly promote learning and teaching through competition. At the same time, the competition also cooperated with enterprises in China, Thailand and other ASEAN countries to jointly develop a large number of real combat operation projects, opening up the competition and student employment and internship channels. The competition will further strengthen the four-in-one function of digital skill improvement, language learning, innovation and entrepreneurship, and cultural exchange, promote the results of the competition to benefit more teachers and students, and let more ASEAN youth share the digital dividend.
